Again, God has spoken
through prophets. Will
mankind listen this time?

The Great Gospel of John
should be called Great Gospel according to Jesus - is called
"The great Gospel of John". And it is the last one He dictated to him.
Lorber received 10 volumes until his death in 1864 and Leopold Engel
the 11th, a few years later.
In these eleven volumes Jesus
gives an almost daily account of His three years of teaching. Reading
it is sheer delight. Starting out with the first words of John‘s gospel
we learn the spiritual meaning of the verses. Explanations of various
scripture texts follow. Then, we become witness of Jesus‘ teachings
while he travels the Holy Land and talks to thousands of people of all
ways of life, whether they are Jews, Romans, Greeks, Pharisees,
soldiers, peasants, tax collectors, prostitutes or invalids. The proud
and the hurting, the rich and the poor.
It is like a
biography. Jesus follows the "roadmap" of John‘s gospel while He
teaches why He came to visit, what God expects of man, how man can be
and will be saved, He explains the scriptures of Moses and the
Prophets. But He also teaches about nature, the planets and the
universe, microcosm as well as heaven, paradise, the Kingdom of God and
And He constantly stresses the importance of
love. He constantly reminds His listeners how they are loved by the
"Father". We witness hundreds more miracles Jesus does, than are
reported in Scripture: healings, miraculous transformations and
creations of food and wine, He awakens people from death like He did
with Lazarus. He stops storms in an instant and makes deserted fields
bloom and trees grow tall overnight. He tells his baffled listeners
their most intimate thoughts and past actions in every detail. He
transfers people (and Himself) in split seconds over hundreds of miles
for a special purpose. All to make a point: that people believe His
words. He very often confirms, He would like to do without miracles,
but He‘s got only so much time to make an impact in the hearts and
heads of His listeners.
He makes no doubt about His fate. That
He will be killed. But even His disciples do not understand when He
says He will be "elevated" or "heightened", meaning He will be
crucified. The last volume deals mainly with His death and
resurrection. The words He speaks on the cross are explained in their
true (spiritual) meaning.
The Great Gospel has so far been
translated into English in a condensed version. The word for word
translation is ongoing and progress depends on available funds.
Donations are welcome, as they will accelerate the completion.
